The adventures of Recce Ted!
As we come to the end of the 09/10 recce year, Recce Ted is enjoying a well deserved rest before heading off round the world for the next batch of recces for our expedition planning team.
This year our intrepid bear has explored dozens of countries and had some incredible adventures. He’s got too many snapshots to fit on the blog, but he’s compiled a montage of his favourite bits. Over the coming year Recce Ted will be packing his bags and heading to (amongst other places) Swaziland, Mozambique, China, Uzbekistan, Bolivia, Laos, Turkey, Syria, Zambia, Papua New Guinea and Kenya – and he can’t wait! Keep watching the blog to follow the progress of Recce Ted as he travels the globe…

One day Recce Ted was send off to Borneo to be a support for all his World Challenge teams. He packed his rucksack and off he went.
The first team he met was a bunch of Australian girls who loved to shop and sit on the beach. They hadn’t been able to do their trek in the Highlands so Recce Ted took them over to the Niah Caves for the day
Recce Teds next big job was to go to Kuching and check out some new national parks. His first stop was to Semenggoh National Park to see the Orangutans. He didn’t want to get too close as the guide told him they could bite!
RT then took the bus to Kubah National Park to check out the jungle. He did get a little carried away and thought he was Tarzan at one point and started swinging through the trees…
After getting back to civilisation RT jumped on the computer and wrote the trek form for the exciting new acclimatisation trek. He also made friends with
another guest at the hostel.
